VOLA, a tangible example of the enduring power of craftsmanship, style, and materials, has been at the forefront of classic and timeless iconic designs for 50 years. Today, the original VOLA products are regarded as enduring classics that have remained unchanged for half a century.
Pioneers of iconic designs
The first VOLA faucets were designed by Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) for the Danish National Bank. The iconic shape of the mixer faucet, co-designed by VOLA founder Verner Overgaard and his architect colleague Arne Jacobsen, laid the foundation for VOLA’s half-century of product innovation based on geometric precision and minimalist design. Today, VOLA has a formula that combines elegance and flexibility beneath circular and cylindrical forms, where pure design has evolved. Modularity is a fundamental component of modernism. Each VOLA product is based on a modular design system that allows for endless possibilities customizable to individual needs. VOLA products are exclusively made to order and crafted by hand at the VOLA factory in Horsens, Denmark. As the company celebrates its half-century milestone, the almost limitless configurations of their iconic products serve as evidence of a forward-thinking design system.
